MCKAY: Rev. John W. (Jack) McKay, after a lengthy illness passed away September 6, 2006 at Hogg Pavilion, Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret. Also - one daughter, Eleanor and husband Harry of Blaine Washington; their eldest son, David, living in Longview, Washington; Lloyd, the younger son predeceased at the age of twelve; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Washington), Jill (Wisconsin), Jessika (Washington) and their husbands and ten great grandchildren; one sister, Doreen (Calgary, AB); one brother, Lloyd predeceased in WW2. Jack served as an electrician during WW2, after which he commenced studies in Central Baptist Seminary, graduating in 1949. During Seminary years he was Pastor of the Alton Baptist Church, Alton, Ont. After graduation he served in Baptist churches in Edmonton (16 years); Longview, Wa, (19 years); and North Vancouver until his stroke in 1996.

A memorial service will be at White Rock

Baptist Church, 1657 - 140 Street, Surrey, B.C. on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the GIDEONS.
