KROWCHENKO, Rhoda Irene
December 22, 1919 - Feb. 15, 2007
daughter of Luke and Barbara Krowchenko, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord at St. Paul's Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Arelee, SK, Rhoda moved to BC in 1947 where she spent many enjoyable years teaching hearing impaired children. Predeceased by her parents, 4 brothers, 7 sisters, 2 sisters-in-law and 8 brothers-in-law.
Rhoda is survived and lovingly remembered by 3 sisters, Sarah Carr, Fanny Karpow, Laura Doubroff, 2 sisters-in-law, Evelyn Krowchenko and Kate Krowchenko; as well as numerous nieces and nephews throughout Canada and the U.S.
The family wishes to extend thanks for the compassionate care Rhoda received at Westminster House for the past 6-1/2 years, to her GP Dr. Benitez-Gomez and to St. Paul's and Peace Arch Hospitals.
A celebration of Rhoda's life will be held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey, on Saturday Feb. 24, 2007 at 1:30 pm visitation at 12:30 pm. A funeral will be held in Saskatoon, SK on Sat. March 3 followed by interment at the Arelee MB Church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Arelee MB Church, Box 40,
Arelee, Sk, S0K 0H0. Rhoda's father was one of the founding pastors and she faithfully supported this church over the years.
