Rhys Gardner Phillips Morgan

Born March 17, 1913 in Winnipeg,Manitoba to Archibald and Florence Morgan.

Passed away in White Rock, BC on Novmeber 30, 2004 at the age of 91.

Survived by Jeannette, his loving wife of 55 years, children Wynn (Jan Gauthier) in Surrey, Nadine (Bill Warwick) in Qualicum, Bill in Calgary, Teresa (Bob Sleno) in Calgary, Nancy (Dave Dunbar) in Cranbrook, David (Mariam) in Winnipeg and Grant in Tokyo, Japan and his grandchildren Rhys Morgan, Caitlin Warwick, Sarah Sleno, Stephen Warwick, James Dunbar, Joel Sleno, Erin Dunbar and Yvette Morgan.

He is predeceased by brothers Wynn and Robert and sister Nancy.

Rhys graduated in engineereing from the University of Manitoba and Queens University.

He worked for many years as a mining engineer in Bissett, Manitoba where most of his children were born and spent their early years, and he moved back to Winnipeg for the later years of his career.

He was a veteran of the 2nd World War serving in Europe.

He and Jeannette retired to BC in 1979, first to Nanaimo and then to White Rock.
