Born September 25, 1928 in Cumberland on Vancouver Island, BC.
Dick passed away on April 11, 2006 at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster due to heart complications. He is predeceased by his daughter Trudy as well as his brother Lawrence and his sisters Dorothy and Lois.
Dick is survived by his loving wife Emily of 53 years; children Richard, Debbie (Andy), Tom (Denise) and son in law Ron; 4 grandchildren Wade, Cristina, Janel and Stefanie; brothers Bob and Reg and sister Irene.
Dick came to White Rock in 1935.
He watched and participated in it's growth for 70 years, venturing in bulldozing, house building, land developing commercial rentals, restaurant management and Alberta grain farming.
Memorial service will be held at the Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 72nd Ave, Surrey on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 2:00 pm.
Interment of the Urn and reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dick's memory to the Diabetes Society or the charity of your choice.
