Robert Francis RUDD

RUDD - Robert Francis III (Frank) passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the Delta Hospital (BC).

Frank was born October 19, 1907, on a farm near Alma, Ontario, spent most of his youth on the prairies, graduating from the U. of Saskatchewan. He moved West with his bride, Rose, during the Depression, and earned his C.A. degree in Vancouver. He co-founded the accounting firm, Rudd, Goold and Elliott, which later merged with Price Waterhouse. On retirement, his leisure time focused on his passion for horses, riding with his friends in Campbell Valley Equestrian Park into his 101st year.

Frank was predeceased by Rose, his valentine of over 70 years, and his siblings & their spouses: Florence Jackson (Wesley) of Riverhurst, Sask., Edith Rhodes (George) of Hemet, Cal., and Norris Rudd (Alice) of Stetler, Alta.

He was survived by daughters, Maren Dancer and Dr. Noreen Rudd-Hoar (David); grandsons Geoffrey Boese (Eva) and Jonathan Boese (Sarah); granddaughter, Noreen Boese (Daniel); and great granddaughters, Rachel & Stefanie Turmel, and Isabell Boese.

A celebration of Frank's life will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Crescent United Church, 2756 127th Street, Surrey, B.C. (Crescent Beach). Rev. Bill Booth will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
