WYATT - Robert LYLE, 87, passed

away peacefully on October 22, 2007, at his home in White Rock, BC. Predeceased by his wife, Doris in 1998, Lyle will be lovingly remembered by his 3 children: sons Gary of Regina, Sask. and Wayne of Terrace, BC and daughter Carol of Surrey, BC, and by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his 2 brothers, Grant and Clare of Saskatchewan, and their families. Born in Briercrest, Sask in 1920, Lyle served in the Armed Forces from 1942 to 1945. He then lived with his wife and family in Regina, moving to BC in 1974, where he farmed for 30 years in South Surrey. In 2003, he moved to White Rock. For many years, Lyle was an active member of First United Church in White Rock and in the Sunnyside Elder Citizen's Society. He was a self-taught musician, playing in old-time dance bands and was a past member of the BC Old Time Fiddlers' Association. Lyle was a genial man with a home-spun sense of humour and a love of music and animals. He enjoyed being with people, was proud of his children and delighted in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Memorial Service at 2:00pm, Tuesday November 13, 2007 at the First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo Avenue, White Rock, BC.
