Robert Maxwell Jansen

Robert "Bob" was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on September 20, 1920. He passed peacefully in the early evening on April 3, 2004 with family present at the Peace Arch Hospital.

Bob is predeceased by his twin brother William, and survived by his wife Evelyn, daughters Beverly and Ashala (Shelley), sister-in-law Patricia, nieces and nephews.

Bob gew up in Kinistino, Saskatchewan. He spent two years in the RCAF in Canada and England during WWII. Bob and Evelyn were married in June of 1945 in Regina, Saskatchewan where he worked for Canada Customs until moving to British Columbia in 1968.

He worked at the White Rock Sun and Peace Arch News before his retirement when they then travelled south for many winters.

Bob will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by family and the many friends he mentored over his 36 years of association with the fellowship of Alcoholic's Anonymous.

A memorial service was held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 1480 George Street, White Rock, B.C. at 2:30 p.m. on Friday April 9, 2004. In lieu of flowers, please, donations to the charity of your choice.
