Rose passed away peacefully at Ocean View Care Home in White Rock on August 16, 2003 at the age of 85. Rose was born in Manitoba but moved to British Columbia in 1940. Shortly thereafter she and her husband Edwin moved to the Cloverdale area to raise their family. During her life Rose had a passion for gardening and all things outdoors. She brought her creative spirit to all her endeavours. She was a well-read, intelligent, and compassionate lady who loved to laugh and to debate just about anything.
She is survived by one son, Tom Johnsen of Richmond, a daughter and son-in-law. Evonne and Bill Cutress of Millarville, Alberta, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister and her husband Edwin.
Memorial service was held at Cloverdale United Church, 17575 - 58A Avenue, Cloverdale on August 22 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your favourite charity.
