Sheila Head

March 9, 2007

HEAD, Sheila-Passed away March 9th, following a heart attack, at Morgan Place Care Facility in Surrey. Sheila was the beloved wife of Bill Head, former physiotherapist of the Montreal Canadiens, who passed away in 1984; and was also pre-deceased by her sister, Yvonne Renshaw. She was the cherished mother of Rhonda Morgan and Gina Amos; much loved grandmother of Lee, Tara, Dan, Kim and Scott and great-grandmother of Jordan and Breighann. Born Sheila Young in Winnipeg in 1916, she grew up in Verdun, Quebec. After her marriage, she lived in Quebec City, where Rhonda was born, and then Verdun, where Gina was born, before the family settled in the Montreal suburb of Lachine. She and Bill moved to White Rock in 1978, where they met and made many good friends. Sheila never hesitated to speak her mind as a voice of civility, and will be missed by all who knew her as a true "grand dame". Funeral arrangements are private. Donations to the White Rock Hospice Society, 15510 Russell Avenue, White Rock, BC, V4B 2R3, would be greatly appreciated.
