Taylor Marie Walker

On February 21, 2017, our beautiful, bright, dearly-loved Taylor Marie Walker died tragically of a fentanyl overdose, even though she was not a drug user, in Burnaby.

She was only 20 years old. We are devastated. Taylor's spirit lives on in her much loved sisters Kelsey and Katie and the many friends and family that adored her. Her father Bill (partner Carol), mother Tania (partner Wayne), sister Kelsey, grandparents Marg and Tom and her dearest friend Cassidy, will greatly mourn her passing. Taylor is survived by aunts and uncles Sue and Tom, Bernie and Kevin plus her cousins.

Taylor had just purchased her first car and was excited to start a dog walking business which would enable her to spend more time with her beloved pitbull cross, Atticus and the four-footed creatures she loved. Taylor adored her friends and family, travelling, good books, excellent movies, beautiful art, writing, animals and children. In her short twenty years on this earth she had travelled and lived for a year in London, England on her own, and helped establish a hairstyling business there. Upon her return at only 19 years old she continued to work in the same business, training new staff and supervising others. She had just told us of her plans to go to Douglas College in the fall for their International Global Engagement Program. She was excited that she had found a program that fit with what her goals had become. We are so angry that she never got to experience that and angrier still that she won't have the opportunity to finish the fabulous novel she was writing. From the time she was little she wanted to be big. When she got a little bigger she wanted to be grown up like her sister. She was always an old soul trapped in a little body. We will miss that happy soul when she walks into a room. We will miss Maynard's wrappers overflowing her purse, the next beautiful dress, hair and makeup styles for Halloween. We will miss her giggle, her laugh, her ability to make someone, anyone, feel better just by knowing her. How will we live without you Taylor? Our hearts are aching to tell you once more how much we love you and to give you one more hug and kiss and to tell you it will all be ok. In lieu of flowers please donate to: www.hugabull.co
