Wally HUBBARD

August 3, 2009

Hubbard, Wally

Wally Hubbard was born May 15, 1932 in Guelph, Ontario. He passed away at age 77 on August 3, 2009 at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock. We wish to thank the staff at Peace Arch Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, and St. Paul's Hospital for the care and support they provided Wally and his family during a very difficult 41 day hospitalization.

Wally will be dearly missed by Edith, his loving wife of 51 years, his children Brenda, Terry, and Shelley, his grandchildren Kramer, Kaitlyn, Kristian, and Lexi, sons-in-law Phil and Michael, and his sister Barbara Ross. Wally's life included working as a Kmart manager in central and eastern Canada for 25 years, and as a supervisor with Canada Customs for 14 years. He loved music and was an accomplished musician. He played trumpet and organ, lead his church choir, sang often in church, and had won singing contests in his youth. He was also a great athlete, traveling extensively in Ontario with his championship winning high school basketball team where he played guard. He was also an accomplished tournament winning tennis player, swimmer, and hockey player. He will be remembered most for his generous nature, sense of humor, and the dedication he showed to his family throughout his life.
