Ward Philip Kurenoff

February 5, 1972 - May 2, 2017

He was a loving husband, father, uncle, son, brother, friend, school volunteer, rec hockey teammate, and one of the greatest fans of the Edmonton Oilers and Saskatchewan Roughriders, but Ward’s greatest love was for his two children, Kaitlyn and Luc. He enjoyed taking them to sports, being involved in their school community, travelling with them to the California home and just spending time together. Ward was born, raised and educated in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and obtained his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Saskatchewan. He met his future wife, Jana, while at university and together they moved to BC shortly after university to “live the good life.” Ward is survived by his wife; children; brothers Gord (Langley) and Shane (Toronto); parents Phil and Adele Kurenoff (Yorkton, SK); and in-laws Garry and Jan Wilson (South Surrey). A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 20th at Victory Memorial Park Centre, 14831 28th Ave Surrey from 3-7pm with Pastor Layton Chmelyk officiating. In lieu of flowers, Ward would be honoured by donations to the Semiahmoo Trail Elementary PAC at 3040-145A Street, Surrey, BC, where his children and nieces attend.
