Wendy Geisler (nee Wright)

October 15, 1941 - September 13, 2017

Wendy passed away suddenly, surrounded by her loving family, on September 13, 2017 at the age of 75.

She was born in Edmonton Alberta, growing up with joyful summers at Sylvan Lake. She met John at a skating rink in Red Deer, Alberta in 1957 and they married in 1960. Their family was complete with sons Clark & Greg.

Wendy could make a home wherever John's Air Force career would take them, whether in Trenton Ontario, Lahr Germany, Comox BC or camping throughout Europe.

Upon retiring, home was in White Rock BC or in the 5th wheel in the California desert and Yuma Arizona for the winter. For Wendy, home truly was where the heart was.

Wendy leaves us with fond memories of trout fishing at Vernon Lake on Vancouver Island: this was her Special place. She could cook a gourmet meal wherever she was, but was best known and loved for her Christmas turkey dinners, Dill pickles and Chocolate Birthday cakes.

Wendy was predeceased by her Father (Robert) and Mother (Mae) Wright.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years John, sons Clark (Alicia) and Greg (Kelley), grandchildren Megan, Markus and Cameron, her sister Judy, brothers Drew (Nanci) and Jerry (Leona), as well as many extended family members. Wendy will be loved and missed forever.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life of Wendy, Saturday, October 14th at 2:00 PM. Peninsula (Crescent) United Church, 2756  127 St., Surrey, BC.
