HIRTREITER, Wesley David, 41, passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital surrounded by love from his wife, Lise, on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, Wes was born on September 13, 1962, in New Westminster, B.C. and lived most of his life in White Rock, B.C. where he fought a lengthy, courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). Our dear Wes will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Lise Hirtreiter, his father Jack Hirtreiter of Powell River, B.C; his mother Marie Shawn of White Rock, B.C.; mother-in-law Philomena Terry of White Rock, B.C.; his brothers, sisters, their families and numerous friends. Lise would like to extend her grateful thanks for the excellent care given to Wes by the Home Health Services, staff at Peace Arch Hospital and the ALS Society.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society, Suite 119-1600 W. 6th Ave., Vancouver, B.C. V6J 1R3.Evening Prayers will be at Star of the Sea Church, 1153 Fir St., White Rock on Monday, June 14, 2004 at 7:00 pm. The funeral Mass will be held at Star of the Sea Church, Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 11:00 am. Interment Gardens of Gethsemani.
