I would like to says many thanks to the City of White Rock and its sponsors for the event, For the Health of it.

The guest speakers were dynamic. I came away informed, enlightened and thankful to all the people involved.

I volunteered to help our Shoppers Drug Mart raise donations for a women’s-health fundraiser held Thursday at the Dublin Crossing Pub in Surrey.

I am overwhelmed by how great the White Rock community has supported, with generous donations and a lot of the local businesses pulling together to help.

Shoppers Drug Mart owner George Cloete is very passionate about women’s health. I only got involved a week before and was so amazed how awesome local businesses pulled together, like José & Co. Custom Jewellers, Laura’s Coffee Corner, Browns Socialhouse, Leaf Tea Lounge, White Rock Wines, Save-on Foods, Murchies, The Boathouse, Ocean Yacht Club, Howes Market, Envy Nail Salon, lsland Café and many more.

I was still collecting the day before the event and even have blisters from walking, but I really want to say to all local businesses a hug heart felt thank you. What an amazing community we live in.

I had to go to the emergency ward at our Peace Arch Hospital and want to thank all of the staff for their compassionate and professional manner, and Dr. David Joyce in particular.

Thanks so much for announcing Peace Arch Chorus’s participation at the Cloverdale Market Days. It is wonderful to have the support of local newspapers acknowledging our contribution to community events.
