Our garbage collection is a circus; our water is poisonous; and now it seems there isn’t enough tax money to cut the grass.
I’ve noticed that a number of city boulevards and mini-parks, such as the ones at Victoria and Cypress and Victoria and Dolphin, have knee-high grass going to seed which hasn’t been cut since last fall.
What’s going on? It’s one thing when absentee homeowners allow unsightly lawns, but shouldn’t the city be setting a better example?
