Parks work appreciated

Re: Don’t just boast about biodiversity; Contamination delays ponds; Park delays unacceptable – April 3, 10, 24 letters.

The neighbours around Southmere Village Park wish to thank the City of Surrey parks department for the wonderful improvements to our jewel in the city.

The workers from the construction company, Double M Construction, were excellent in their courtesy to onlookers and those who asked many questions about the project. The workmen were friendly to the nesting bird population, as well as protecting the water creatures, and kept the job site clean and organized.

We are proud of our park, and ask neighbours to please have dogs on leashes, as there are 12 new goslings and seven baby ducks for all to enjoy.

For a job well done, we say thank you.
