Letters to the Editor

Environmental damage done

Editor:

Re: Old man, take a look at your facts, Jan. 21 column.

Well, now you have done it, BC Views columnist Tom Fletcher.

You have annoyed, angered, baffled and bored us over the years with your column.

Then we just ignored them.

However, to be so condescending and rude about singer Neil Young’s involvement in the anti-oilsands controversy made me respond. (Darn, I read the column this time.)

I realize that you get paid well to write your little column. How do you decide which experts’ findings on the environment do you judge to know the truth – the whole truth?

May I make a suggestion? Please move to Fort McMurray. Enjoy the scenery!

And one other observation, after a close look at your picture. Who is calling whom an old man? Ouch!

You bring out the worst in people.

Thank you to all the people that are willing and able to lend their voices to help our environment.

Heidi Bumann, Surrey
