Scorpions shut out Kaos

The Semiahmoo Selects Scorpions improved their U11 cup record to 2-0 last weekend, after a convincing 7-0 shutout victory over the Ladner Kaos.

The Scorpions built up a 4-0 lead in the first half and cruised to the seven-goal victory. Haley Ribiero had a pair of goals, as did Bonnie Whitford, with Nicola Smith, Cassidy Sader and Alexa Porpaczy rounded out the scoring.

Lily Van Nen and Smith shared goaltending duties for Semi, earning the shutout.

The backline was anchored by Raichel Feenan, Katherine Toy and Leah Evans, while Tyra Anderson was excellent at midfield.

Before the Ladner victory, Semi defeated Sur-Del Xtreme 2-1, with goals from Smith and Ribiero.

Semi plays again this weekend against the Guildford Strikers.
