Mariners rugby holding fundraiser
Earl Marriott Secondary’s rugby program, in conjunction with Ocean Park Ford, will hold a fundraising test-drive event Saturday, in an effort to raise money not only for the team’s upcoming rugby tour of the South Pacific, but also for a school they’ve sponsored in Fiji.
On Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Ocean Park Ford sales reps will be on hand in the EMS parking lot, offering test drives of Fords’ 2011 vehicle lineup, which will be on display.
For each test drive taken, the South Surrey car dealership will donate $20 to the rugby program.
Additionally, the team will be accepting donations – of money, school supplies and sports gear such as cleats – for their sponsored school in Fiji.
