White Rock gymnast strikes gold

Earlier this month at the Delta Gymnastics Invitational, White Rock gymnast Zara Patel Thompson scored an first-place over finish after winning three individual medals.

Competing in the P1-Argo division, the nine-year-old gymnast – who trains at the White Rock Gymnastics and Diving Academy – won gold in the vault and bars, and took home silver in the floor routine. She also placed fourth on the beam.

Joining Patel Thompson on the podium was teammate Sophia Porter, who finished second in the P1 Pre-Argo division.
