Marriott hoops opener to aid food bank

The Earl Marriott Mariners’ senior boys basketball home-opener is set for Tuesday night, and in addition to vying for a victory, the team is hoping to aid the local food bank in the process.

The Mariners, who will face-off against crosstown rivals Southridge Storm in an exhibition game at 7:30 p.m., will be collecting cash and non-perishables at the door, which will then be donated to the Surrey Food Bank.
