Registration open for ball hockey season

Registration is open for Semiahmoo Minor Ball Hockey Association’s 2013 season.

Online sign-up began last week, and will remain open until Feb. 28.

A number of changes are in store for the growing league, which is entering its third season of play.

Next month, the association will officially join the National Ball Hockey Association of Canada, which gives Semiahmoo teams access to more local tournaments as well as Canada Cup and national events.

Additionally, Semiahmoo will be joined in their division by the Surrey Central Minor Ball Hockey League – which plays out of North Surrey Arena. Teams from both associations will now play against each other.

The Semiahmoo league was created two years ago and plays home games out of White Rock’s Centennial Arena.
