Trio of teams still unbeaten at Scotties

Three teams are undefeated after the second draw of the BC Scotties women's curling championship at the Cloverdale Curling Club.

Three-time defending champion Kelly Scott of Kelowna ran their record to 2-0 (won-lost) with a 6-3 win over Marilou Richter (0-2) of the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster.

Patti Knezevic (2-0) of Prince George allowed Royal City's Kirsten Fox (1-1) to steal one in the 10th end, but then scored two herself in the extra end for an 8-6 win.

Alison MacInnes of Abbotsford ran her record to 2-0 by overcoming a 5-2 deficit after four ends to edge Cloverdale's Marla Mallett 9-8.

Simone Brosseau (1-1) of the Juan de Fuca Curling Club scored five in the eighth end, then shook hands with Simone Groundwater (0-2) of Williams Lake in a 9-3 win.

Roberta Kuhn of Vernon (1-1) built up a 6-1 lead after seven ends and hung on for a 6-3 win over Lori Olsen (0-2) of Royal City.

Draw 3 goes at 11 a.m. this morning (Tuesda).
