White Rock beach volleyball duo fifth at US championships

The White Rock beach volleyball duo of Tess Neil and Darby Dunn were nearly as hot as the sand under their feet in California earlier this month.

The pair, who play at the club level for the Sideout Beach Volleyball Club, placed fifth at the US National Beach Volleyball Championships, which were held in Huntington Beach, Calif.  Neil and Darby won eight of the 11 matches they played, with one of their three losses coming at the hands of the eventual champions.

Last week, the pair added to their win total, capturing first place in the U16 division of the Vancouver Open.
