Team Canada West players were selected from the Canadian Junior Hockey League's five western Junior A leagues: the British Columbia Hockey League, Alberta Junior Hockey League, Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, Manitoba Junior Hockey League and Superior International Junior Hockey League.

The two Canadian teams, the other being Team Canada East, will join Russia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and the United States in the tournament.

Stewart is in his second season with the Eagles and has matched his goal total from his rookie year with 11. He also has 17 assists for 28 points in 29 games played.

Burgart has 12 goals and 30 points in 31 games played with the Eagles, while Regush has 11 goals and 25 points in 30 games with the Centennials.
