Helen Fathers is a White Rock City Councillor first elected in 2008.
Fathers emigrated from Nottingham, England in 1991 and has lived in the White Rock community for 20 years.
As the Operations Manager for White Rock Farmer's Market Society, Fathers is an active member of the community and has also spent 18 years working in both the customer service and hospitality industries.
She currently is the Chair of the Governance and Legislation Committee and serves on the Finance and Audit Committee, the External Communications Review Sub-Committee, the Land Use and Planning Committee and the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board. Fathers also serves on the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors.
Fathers volunteers with many local non-profit organizations and has a passion for the environment.
