Helen Fathers is a White Rock city councillor first elected in 2008.

Fathers emigrated from Nottingham, England in 1991 and has lived in the White Rock community for 20 years.

As the operations manager for White Rock Farmer's Market Society, Fathers is an active member of the community and has also spent 18 years working in both the customer service and hospitality industries.

She currently is the chair of the governance and legislation and external communications committees; and is council representative to the Fraser Valley Regional Library Board, the Lower Mainland Local Government Association, SourcesBC. Fathers is also chair of the newly announced mayor's Centre Street Road Allowance Improvements Task Force.

Fathers volunteers with many local non-profit organizations and has a passion for the environment.
