The second annual Morgan Crossing Car and Motorcycle Show drew a large crowd last weekend and raised $4,500 for the White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society.

“We would like to express our most sincere appreciation for this financial support,” the society’s Yvon Thibeault said. “Donations from community partners like the Shops at Morgan Crossing allow us to provide residents of the Semiahmoo Peninsula with a range of counselling services and grief programs close to home and at no charge.”

Attendance at this year’s show tripled compared to the inaugural event last June, and approximately 200 cars and motorcycles were on display along Main Street for families to enjoy.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to support the event and White Rock South Surrey Hospice Society,” said Leigh Ann Smith, marketing and events co-ordinator at the Shops at Morgan Crossing. “We are extremely heartened by the overwhelming response we received from the community and look forward to an even bigger show next year.”
