Commander Chris Hadfield spoke in Langley on Friday

Chris Hadfield – retired astronaut, Canadian hero, and just-finished Commander of the International Space Station – stopped by Langley, B.C. on Friday to deliver motivational memes and serenade his crowd with his made-famous-on-YouTube musical magic.

"There are incredible things that are possible, if you can just figure out a way to turn yourself into the person who can do that," Hadfield said, post-event. "To have a goal, to not let fear dictate your life, to figure out a way to recognize, what is the core of what you're afraid of... and then figure out a way to not let that thing happen or allow yourself to be ready for it, so that then you don't deny yourself some of the great experiences of life.

"To remember, though, to enjoy what's happening all the time. None of this is guaranteed. Enjoy the process by which you live. And (do it) every single day – that is your life."

Hadfield was invited to speak as the keynote and final guest at the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board's Conference and Trade Show.

His speech was titled 'The Sky is Not The Limit'.
