Event to raise funds for feeding and housing exotic animals

Cinemazoo and Urban Safari Rescue Society will host an open house Aug. 24.

The open house will include a garage sale, barbecue, face painting and other entertainment throughout the day. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the facility and see the dozens of exotic animals housed at the facility.

Funds from the event will go towards feeding and housing the 250 exotic animals that have been abandoned, mistreated or surrendered by their owners.

Funds raised will also go toward continuing education programs about animals for children and adults.

The open house is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the South Surrey facility, 1395 176 St.
