Easter in the ‘hood

Ocean Park is gearing up for an Easter celebration April 23, when residents will be treated to a pancake breakfast at Ocean Park Hall.

The meal will be served from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at 1577 128 St., and costs $5 for those three and older, and $2.50 for children under two.

The Easter bunny will be making an appearance at a subsequent easter egg hunt at Kwomais Point Park at 10 a.m. Children are encouraged to bring their own decorated baskets, with a prize up for grabs for the best one.

Families will also have a chance to win gift baskets donated by Ocean Park businesses.

The event is hosted by the Kiwanis Club of South Surrey, the Ocean Park Community Association and Ocean Park Neighbours, a group of locals dedicated to creating a fun, safe and connected community.
