Semiahmoo Shopping Centre has been named a finalist for a national award in recognition of a fundraising campaign that raised close to $150,000 last year.
The International Council of Shopping Centres recently announced finalists for the 2015 Canadian Shopping Centre Awards, for which Semiahmoo Shopping Centre received a nod in the Cause Related Marketing category.
The mall is being recognized for its 2014 campaign, The Centre of Giving, which included a number of events throughout the year and brought in $146,000 for various community charities.
Over the past 10 years, Semiahmoo Shopping Centre has raised more than $1 million for local non-profit organizations.
