Peace Arch News received a national award last week, following its earlier provincial award last month.

The Canadian Community Newspaper Association announced last week that PAN was named second Best All-Round Newspaper for large-circulation community newspapers, following Alberta’s St. Albert Gazette and ahead of the Canadian Jewish News in Toronto.

The award was for papers with a circulation of 25,000 or greater.

On April 29, PAN finished in second place for general excellence in its new category at this year’s Ma Murray Awards, hosted by the B.C. & Yukon Community Newspapers Association, finishing just behind North Shore News.
