A White Rock business’s anniversary celebration has raised $1,000 for Doctors Without Borders Canada’s efforts in Africa.

Boutique Vasanji owners Raz and Kerry Vasanji hosted a VIP shopping event Nov. 4 at their 1391 Johnston Rd. store.

It celebrated both their 25 years in business and their first year of doing that business in White Rock.

The soirée featured complimentary appetizers and beverages, a chocolate bar, a fashion show, shopping and a silent auction.

The fundraising total is a combination of 20 per cent of the evening’s sales and 100 per cent of silent auction proceeds.
