A fundraiser in support of local food banks raised more than $850 for the cause.
The sold-out event was held at Boston Pizza in South Surrey on Oct. 8, with all proceeds to Envision Financial's The Full Cupboard program.
"The event was a great success, " Sarah Pederson, Envision Financial's communications manager, said.
Envision launched The Full Cupboard in March 2013 as a long-term investment program, committing to raising at least $1 million for local food banks over the next 10 years.
Since inception, nearly $142,000 and 16,500 pounds of food has been collected.
