White Rock arts support celebrated

A dozen White Rock businesses were celebrated and thanked by council last month for their support of local artists.

A dozen White Rock businesses were celebrated and thanked by council last month for their support of local artists.

In a brief presentation at city hall Sept. 29, businesses recognized for donating space for showcasing local art were Laura's Coffee Corner, Gelateria Italia, Pelican Rouge Café, Java Express Neighbourhood Café, Small Ritual Coffee Society, Jan's on the Beach, Giraffe Restaurant, Whitby's Coffee House and The Yucca Tree Café.

Businesses recognized for commissioning local artists to create murals were White Rock Travel, Blue Frog Studios and Uli's Restaurant.
