Banish bullying

A bullying workshop designed for parents, teachers and support staff who work with special needs children – including those with learning disabilities and ADD – will be held early next month at Queen Elizabeth Secondary.

Bullying Hurts, and Keeps on Hurting is to provide participants with information about bullying as it relates to special needs children, as well as practical ideas about how to identify bullying, how to deal with bullying as both a victim and bully, and how to help parents deal with bullying problems that may be occurring with their children.

The March 9 event – presented by the Learning Disabilities Association, Fraser South chapter – will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the school’s theatre, 9457 136 St.

There is a minimum $5 donation at the door; LDAFS members are complimentary.
