Big Bike coming back to Surrey

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon’s Big Bike event is coming to Surrey next month.

The fundraiser is geared towards organizations and companies that form teams of 29 riders – as well as one driver provided by the foundation – who pedal through their community on an oversized bike in support of heart disease and stroke research.

On May 18, riders will be stopping at King’s Cross Shopping Centre in Newton beginning at 10 a.m. with Surrey Firefighters Charitable Society. Representatives of Surrey Board of Trade will take over at 10:45 a.m., followed by Fraser Health’s South Asian Health Program at 11:30 a.m., City of Surrey at 12:15 p.m. and RCMP at 1 p.m.
