Eric Anderson (Ian Harmon) tells of his adventures in Surrey's early history.

Surrey Pioneer Eric Anderson (actor Ian Harmon) tells visitors at the Surrey Museum on Saturday of his arrival in Cloverdale as a pioneer in 1872.

Anderson, a Swede and former whaler, built a homestead on Latimer Road (192 Street) after sailing across the pacific.

Anderson was joined on Aug. 18 at the museum by other historic figures such Surrey Reeve T.J. Sullivan, teacher Mary Jane Shannon, Dr. Fredrick Sinclair and The Surrey Leader's first editor, Stan McKinnon – all part of the finale of this Summer's performances by the Frontier Tale Blazers.

The actors' group made visits to several Surrey festivals throughout July and August.
