For the third consecutive year, St. George’s Day festivities will be coming to White Rock.
In recognition of the national day of England – in which the country celebrates its patron saint – an event is slated for April 23 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Elks Lodge.
Guests are invited to enjoy traditional English food – such as pork pies, black pudding and deviled eggs – as well as British music that ranges from the oldies to current tunes.
Tickets ($7; Elks members, $5) are available at the hall, 1469 George St. or 604-538-4016. The hall is open daily from 3 to 7 p.m. Tickets are also available at the Hair Establishment, 1469 Johnston Rd. or 604-536-4711.
Those who buy six or more tickets can reserve a table.
