TD Canada Trust is inviting the public to a brief celebration of White Rock’s 60th anniversary, this afternoon (Friday, April 28) at Central Plaza.
The 1:30 p.m. event will include an announcement that TD is once again title sponsor of the TD Concerts at the Pier series.
The summer series – entering its third year – showcases an array of musical talent, from top Canadian recording artists to emerging local stars. Past years’ headliners have included Daniel Wesley and The Washboard Union.
Specific dates and bands for this summer are to be announced May 2.
Today’s ceremony will include cake-cutting by White Rock Mayor Wayne Baldwin.
Central Plaza is located at the southwest corner of North Bluff and Johnston roads.
