City to hold forum on decorative-wall installations

White Rock to hold public discussion on decorative-wall installations on Thursday

The City of White Rock is hosting a forum tonight (Thursday) to collect opinions on decorative walls that are to be installed throughout the city.

The session is set for 7-8:30 p.m. at the White Rock Community Centre, 15154 Russell Ave., and is to include welcome remarks from Mayor Wayne Baldwin, an outline of works discussed by the city’s public art advisory committee, a presentation by visual artist Richard Tetrault and an open house.

Public art including murals, mosaics and green walls is being considered for various city-owned walls as a means of beautification.

Anyone with ideas or questions is welcome to attend.

For further information on Thursday evening’s forum, contact Claire Halpern at 604-542-7580.
