UPDATE: Cloverdale Tritons need community support for ‘Miracle Swim’

Team gives one last call for swimmers’ fundraiser for BC Children’s Hospital

The Cloverdale Tritons Swim Club held a swim-a-thon last Thursday afternoon (Aug. 8) in support of BC Children’s Hospital.

The community was invited to come out and support the swimmers at Greenaway Outdoor Pool, located at 17901 60 Ave., during the Miracle Swim. Each swimmer was given an hour to swim as many meters as possible.

Participants collected donations in lump sums, or pledges for every 25 metres that they swam.

Although the team swam their hearts out, as of Tuesday morning, they had only raised $2,161 of their $5,000 goal. They still have until Thursday, Aug. 15 to collect funds, and the Tritons are putting out one last call to the community to help support the BC Children’s Hospital.

Donations can be made online here.

Any donation that is $20 or more will receive a tax receipt via email.
