Herds of beaded ornaments – including zebras, lions, giraffes and more – crafted by orphans in Zimbabwe were among items up for grabs last weekend at the Zimbabwe Gecko Society's arts and crafts sale.
Held Saturday and Sunday at Ocean Park Community Hall, proceeds from the sale – as well as a raffle – are to benefit the South Surrey-based society's efforts to help orphans and widows in the impoverished country.
