D-Day veterans honoured

White Rock Legion to host memorial event for Second World War operation.

The courageous efforts of D-Day veterans will be remembered June 6 around the world – and locally at the White Rock Legion Branch 8.

Event organizers have planned a full evening to honour the 70th anniversary of the Second World War operation.

The evening will begin with meat-draw prizes from 4-6 p.m., followed by beer and cocktail specials, a raffle at 6:30 p.m. and entertainment and dancing courtesy of Cheek to Cheek from 7:30-11 p.m. Visit www.legion8whiterock.ca
