Earl Marriott Secondary hosts powwow

The South Surrey school will have a three-day affair featuring traditional First Nations dancing, drumming and fare.

Earl Marriott Secondary's traditional powwow is set for the March 30 weekend at the South Surrey high school, 15751 16 Ave.

The three-day annual affair features grand entries on each day, along with traditional dancing, vendors, drummers and fare.

Sponsored by the school's First Nations Program, everyone is welcome; admission is by donation.

Doors open March 30 at 5:30 p.m., with a grand entry at 7 p.m. March 31, grand entries are to take place at 1 and 7 p.m.; the April 1 grand entry is set for 1 p.m.
