Fall fair greets new season

Many activities enjoyed by residents at White Rock's Evergreen Baptist Campus of Care

Evergreen Baptist Campus of Care got an early start to the changing season, hosting a fall fair this month.

The White Rock assisted-living facility transformed its outdoor courtyard into an event celebrating fall Sept. 13, with many plaid shirts, cowboy hats and boots donned by staff and volunteers, as well as an apple pie contest, singing and petting zoo enjoyed by residents.

The fall festival was organized by staff, volunteer and residents who worked around the clock t make sure it was a success, said volunteer co-ordinator Wendy Mumford.

“They’re really proud of the work they’ve put into this,” she said.
