Last week, the South Surrey-White Rock Chamber of Commerce presented a cheque for $500 to Sources Community Resource Centre's food bank.
The funds were raised Nov. 25, at the chamber's Taste of the Peninsula event. Attendees were asked to donate $10 to the food bank.
The annual event, held at Semiahmoo House Society, was a networking social that gave local restaurants opportunity to showcase their fare.
