Former fire chief Harry Fast will be on hand at the Ocean Park Village Festival this weekend to share fire-safety tips and answer questions from the public.
Fast, who wrote a fire-safety guide last year, has launched a campaign with Sutton Group West Coast Realty called Operation Home Fire Safety, which provides a copy of the book to new home buyers. Proceeds from the book and campaign benefit the B.C. Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund.
Fast will also provide information about the proposed Burn Fund Centre that his book is dedicated to at the festival, which will take place at various locations in Ocean Park July 19-21.
