Nearly two dozen volunteers help repaint the popular South Surrey Skate Park

Fresh look for South Surrey Skate Park

The South Surrey Skate Park has received a fresh coat of paint, thanks to student volunteers

Local youth turned out to lend a hand repainting the South Surrey skate park last week.

The work took place last Friday – students had the day off due to a Professional Development day in the district – and close to two dozen volunteers spent the afternoon refurbishing the popular skate bowl.

Prior to the repainting taking place – which also included a BBQ for volunteers – park users had the opportunity to weigh in on the paint colour of choice with a Facebook vote.
